I was really excited to be commissioned by Octopus Publishing Group to paint the windows of Bristol bookshop Storysmith, to mark the launch of the latest in the series of the bestselling Lia Leendertz 2026 Almanac.
The design was based on this year's cover by Artist Sam Cannon, re scaled my be to fit the window, and painted in my artistic interpretation.
The theme of the 2026 Almanac is forests and trees, and the design includes a stag and barn owl, along with a tree in Autumn tones and curly gold ferns leaves to match the cover.
As a avid reading of the Almanac since it began in 2018, it was really special to be asked to work on this, meet the author and help usher in the start of Autumn, as well as the launch of the book.
The design will be in place on the Storysmith windows for a few months.
