Celebrating Devon’s diverse habitats, this collection of short films sought to inspire viewers to help protect the UK’s natural world – wherever they live. For each episode, I composed a specific motif based on the footage used. These illustrations helped viewers visualise the landscape
The series was a collaboration between WWF, Sky Ocean Rescue, North Devon UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, National Trust and the Environment Agency.

The films were created by Nina Constable and Mindfully Wired Communications. They can be viewed in full here.

WILD WORLD - DOORSTEP DISCOVERIES
Another collaboration with filmmaker Nina Constable saw me produce a series of live illustrations for the award-winning web series-
‘Wild World - Doorstep Discoveries’.

Filmed in entirely during the 2020 UK wide lockdown, these short films feature UK wildlife presenters and cameramen and women including some familiar faces; Megan McCubbin, Gillian Burke from Springwatch and Nick Baker from the Really Wild show, all reporting on their ‘doorstep discoveries’ during a time we were only allowed out for once a day for our daily walk!

Using my watercolours and colour pencils, I filmed myself painting a series of time lapses of British birds. Each episode featured a different illustrated British bird and accompanying bird song lesion with naturalist Lucy Hodson.

11 episodes were created in the end and the series went on to win several awards with the live illustrations featuring in each episode. The birds illustrated included a blackbird, chaffinch, blue tit, great tit, wren and even a Redwing for the Christmas episode to name a few. All the episodes can be viewed here.
